DIRECTIONS:
- From the North:
Take I-84 to Newburgh, NY, (Exit 10)
Take Rt. 9W South
Follow Rt. 9W South to New Windsor
Look for Coloni Funeral & Anthony's Pier 9 Catering on right
Get into left lane immediately
Entrance is between Newburgh Toyota & the bowling alley
Turn left into entrance and follow to river, bearing left at junctions
Natural wooden entrance sign says "Kowawese Unique Area at Plum Point"

From the South:
From Bear Mtn. traffic circle, take Rt. 9W North
Pass Cornwall, pass over small bridge
Look for Sportsplex, then bowling alley on right
Get ready for immediate right
Turn right at natural wooden entrance sign saying "Kowawese Unique Area at Plum Point" Follow road to river, bearing left at junctions
Wear synthetic clothing that dries quickly and shoes that can be worn in the water. Avoid cotton.

Trips & times for guided trips
10:30 AM Moodna Creek 3.5 mi. easy
1:00 PM Hudson River south 8 mi. difficult
- Used gear sale for paddling/camping/hiking
- Socialize with other paddlers
- Enjoy the 2000 ft. sandy beach with view of the Hudson River's only fjord
- Bring a picnic lunch or buy dogs, burgers, soda, etc. on site
All activities are free and open to the public
