ADK  JOB Descriptions

 

Chapter Chair

·        Chair BOD Meetings and provide Leadership to Chapter and BOD

·        Nominate all non-elected positions/committee chairs for confirmation by the BOD’s

·        Insure that the requirements of the By-Laws are carried out

·        Participate in any committee meeting that the chair deems appropriate

·        Meet requests of the Club

·        Provide a summary of chapter activities as requested by the Club for inclusion in Adirondac Magazine

 

Chapter Vice-Chair

·        Assist the chapter chair and perform duties assigned by the Chair and the BOD’s when requested

·        Fill in for the chapter Chair at meetings when the Chair is unavailable

·        Give advice and counsel to other officers and assist on ad hoc committees when requested

·        Plan, coordinate and schedule Chapter meeting throughout the year

·        Attend BOD’s meeting and Executive Committee meetings

 

Secretary

·        Take and retain minutes of all BOD’s and Executive Committee meetings and at the Annual Meeting

·        Distribute minutes to all members of the BOD’s/Executive Committee

·        Compose letters for the Chapter leadership as needed

·        Keep on file a copy of all committee hand outs and other material related to Chapter business

·        Prepare and distribute a planning calendar for each quarter of the year

·        Order ADK logo envelopes and stationary as needed

·        Prepare and distribute a PLANNING CALENDAR for the coming three or four months of activities (see sample) at each Board meeting

 

Chapter Directors (2)

·        Handle special projects as delegated by the chair

·        Attend BOD’s meetings and Executive Committee meetings

·        Provide input on all issues of concern to the Chapter

 

Club Director

·        Be informed about Club mission, goals, programs, policies, procedures and all concerns of the Chapter

·        Attend meetings of the Club BOD’s, having reviewed the agenda and supporting materials prior to the meeting

·        Represent the concerns of the Chapter and work with the BOD’s to determine the path of the Club policies, procedures, budgets, expenditures and use of  property

·        Report to the Chapter BOD’s and Chapter members all significant events which take place at the BOD’s meeting at the Club level

·        Serve on Club committees, working groups and focus groups to help establish the future focus of the Club

·        Keep up to date on developments in other like organizations

·        Attend BOD’s meeting and Executive Committee meetings

 

Alternate Directors

·        Attend Club BOD’s meeting in the absence of the Club Director.  Review copy of meeting to prepare

·        Stay informed on activities of the Chapter BOD’s and executive committee and major issues of the Club

·        Inform Club secretary of your attendance in place of Club Director and vote as needed

·        Report to Club Director and Chapter BOD’s any significant actions taken at the Club meeting
