Appalachian Trail Chair Duties 04/2004

AT Supervisor:

· Attend meetings of Dutchess/Putnam AT Management Committee every 6 weeks, usually held at the East Fishkill Library

· Recruit, supervise and sometimes help train about 14 people who maintain sections of the AT between Du Co. 20 and the Connecticut line. These people are usually MidHudson ADK members. 3 or 4 are independent but all belong to the NY-NJ Trail Conference.

· Send out report forms which must be returned to me May 31 and Nov. 30. I summarize and send all to Chairman of the DCPATMC

Supervisor of trail monitors: currently Frank Dogil

· Recruits and supervises monitors who watchdog the National Park lands which buffer the actual footpath between County 20 and Conn. Line
