Here are the rules for ADK hikes:
Non-member guests are welcome to join any outing. Those guests who enjoy our scheduled activities and wish to continue joining them are encouraged, after participation in two outings, to help support ADK by becoming members.
Notify the outing leader of your intent to join an outing. |
Be properly dressed, including sturdy footwear, for the season and type of outing.
Be properly equipped. Water, lunch and extra snacks, rain jacket and the Ten Essentials should be in your pack.
Mid-Hudson ADK encourages outing participants to car pool. Guidelines: Occupants of each vehicle, excluding the driver, should divide among themselves any parking fees, tolls, and costs of gas at the rate of $.30 per mile. Please have some amount of money with you on outings for reimbursing drivers. |
Non-member guests are enthusiastically welcome to join any outing. Those guests who enjoy our scheduled activities and wish to continue joining them are encouraged, after participation in two outings, to help support ADK by becoming members. |
If you wish to bring a dog, you must call the leader at least 24 hours in advance to get permission. Additionally, you must bring a leash, be able to control your dog and be responsible for its needs (e.g. water and food).
